Turkish-Arab Media Forum lunches Wednesday


- Turkish-Arab Media Forum lunches its schedule work on Wednesday in Istanbul . Some 150 journalists from 22 Arab countries participate in the forum organized by Directorate General of Press and Information in the Office of the Prime Minister of Turkey. The Forum, which continues for two days and sponsored by the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bulent Orange, focuses on '' media at the center of change , continuity, opportunities and new possibilities''

The Forum includes a series of discussing meetings of political aspects and variables of the current regional and international situation and of the media. Moreover, it discusses role Turkey and its foreign strategy in the framework of political, media and cultural changes .

Wessam afifa, the chief editor of Alresalah paper who participate in the forum, stated that the forum is a big opportunity for large number of journalist, reporters and media men to discuss the new middle east which is getting formed in the light of Arab spring. Afifa stressed that the new middle east would be different from the one expected by ex- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Participants are journalists and academics from Turkey, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Djibouti, Morocco, Palestine, Iraq, Qatar, the Comoros, Kuwait, Libya, Lebanon, Egypt, Mauritania, Somalia, Sudan and Syria will participate in the forum, Hurriyet Daily News reporte
