It is customary for Siyad Barre loyalists to panic whenever they see or even perceive Somalilanders taking care of business, or any good news coming from their direction. This person who wrote an article with the above title on Wardheer.com, a vehemently anti-Somaliland website where Siyad Barre loyalist congregate to snip and throw a kitchen sink against Somaliland.
This is one of the major websites where all types of Somaliland haters come together and spew their hate venom. There is nothing new in the article, it is just a duplicate of the anti-Somaliland literature espoused for the last 20 years.
For the last 20th years there was a raging war of words between the Republic of Somaliland and Siyad Barre loyalists. This gentle man said nothing new here. He just rehashed the same talking points Siyad Barre loyalisys, and tribalists afraid to lose a fake tribal supremacy were arguing for the twenty years.
There was a verbal war (Dagaal Afka ah) between the resurgent Republic of Somaliland and increasingly diminishing Siyad Barre loyalists who are still fixed in their deadly ideas that were doomed and destroyed the former Somalia. For those twenty years, they did not build one road, one class roam or anything that can improve their the lives of their people.
Somaliland is a major stabilizing force in the Horn of Africa, Siyad Barre loyalist have triggered, and waged disastrous wars in the Horn of Africa, and certainly they are the very people behind all the instability, and wars that followed their down fall. Though very weak, defeated and had no voice, they still harbor the war mongering mentality that destroyed the former Somalia.
Somaliland citizens were building their country destroyed by Siyad Barre forces for the last twenty years. They built schools, universities, infrastructure, factories, hospitals, cities, and providing services to their people. The guy talked about regions he thought are different then the rest of Somaliland. it’s a lie and baseless fabrication to portray that parts of Sool, Sanaag are different from the rest of Somaliland.
First of all these regions are diverse regions where one clan or group exclusively resides. Secondly no one from these regions was forced to be part of Somaliland. All over the world, people naturally have different views on issues. The majority of Somalilanders support Somaliland, like any other country there may be people who do not support Somaliland for any reason, but that is a natural phenomenon.
At any rate what counts is the majority voice, and that is what has happened here. The overwhelming majority of Somalilanders support Somaliland Republic. He also said another lie the article writer has said about “Awdal,” let alone can locate it on the map. The guy falsely claimed they were forced to support Somaliland, they is a baseless and shameless lie. Awdal is the mother of Somaliland. It is where Somaliland was born.
Awdal is the home to peaceful people who are development oriented, who do not waste their time on nonsense and fantasy talking points. That is why there have already established two Universities in “Awdal“, and a third one will be following soon.
Another lie the guy pushed was Somalilanders hate the people of the former Somalia, that is a lie and the thousands of refugees from that area and now residing in Somaliland blatantly disprove that false assertion. Borama, the capital of “Awdal” is a college town with numerous schools, rich history, huge mosques, beautiful landscape, lush green meadows, towering mountains, resilient, and highly educated public. Like other parts of Somaliland, the people of this region strongly abhor any outsider who attempts to define them, let alone a hated Siyad Barre loyalist.
You need to define yourself and where you come from. You have no business here. In short mind your own business. The shallowness and the distortions of the article writer indicates that he is somebody who knows very little of Somaliland. .
